Thanks, I am sure it is not a critical issue, more of a time consuming for some!

    Hello Alex,

The error does not occur because I changed the latin1_bin to utf8_bin, I am not sure if its coincidence but the error showed up after I tried t install a multi-pack language to the site. I know the latin1_bin is for western European languages only I wonder if it is related. Since the issue, I removed the other language features.

I noticed many other enum fields in the wallet tables have utf8_mb4_encode, just an observation wondering why those have utf and this particular one has latin1

    Hello Alex,

I found the issue, the collation on the status field in the wp_wallet_addr is set to latin1_bin which throws an exception error when there is an attempt to update, by changing it to Utf8_bin that allow the change of the status.

When I refresh I do not see any new addresses created I only see in the profile the wallet with the status set to 'current'

Versions I used were Wallet 3.5.5 and Latest Blockio adaptor 2.2.3, at this point the only thing left to do is check to see if the update to the 3.5.6 with change any the collation back to latin1_bin

I am sure if a fix is needed at least we know what is the problem area!

    Best regards

    Tony

    Alex,

I want to say that your product is a great addon for crypto payments when I can across this set of modules I knew I found something I want to use, so when we in the group decided to deploy it, my job is to find a way to make it fail… we want to use this product in complex services and be responsible for other people’s money, you have to take every step and opportunity to provide a service that has a reduced mitigated risk.

Thank you for your time and effort…

    respectfully

On follow up I did a clean install and tried a different version of the wallet adaptor what is why you see a need to update.

    Thank you

    Dear ‘friend’

I should have the option otherwise I have to choose a gateway that serves my needs, not the need of the community. The word “choice” is the key word, I run a business and want to charge fees others can choose to give it away from its a “choice”, not a communal decision.

As a developer, one consideration for adaptation of the product is to give choices and features that make a better product. VISA has 1000 plugs on WP, why? because of ‘Choice’

Everyone can have a diff business model, the gateway should be open to options.

I tested this vendor product, it’s not very flexible, sadly some developers build things for themselves, not for consumers. A developer should be like a Dr. the patient is the most important aspect of what a Dr and a Developer, and in the case of the developer it is the end user. The vendor plug is inflexible in some of the payment integrations and it’s cost prohibitive for the model they offer. do you prefer to have 0.01 from 10 million people every day or $10 from 1000 people every day! Old school thinking I guess! 🙂

I did on this site ->http://ibbtmerchant.com (WP set as a Multi-Site) but I had to reset because of server overload – Your adaptor has a much better adaptation then most I have evaluated.

https://mygeopay.com/market/ you can see it here how I implement it. Everything runs on Testnet accounts.

The more traditional use is ‘/’ from a marketing perspective the underscore is not appealing, I am sure the chart tool has a way to go its good to follow standards that help the chart tool become much more easily adaptable and comfortable to use. The end of the day its not functionality that its esthetics.

    Hello Alex,

The payment gateway always should have a priority on fees, otherwise, why be a payment gateway. For example, if I run a multi-store and vendors add their products similar to eBay to sell or barter, I should have the option to charge or not to charge a fee. Woocommerce should not override my choice. It is a critical feature. Otherwise, I have to use another plug to add a fee and that would make no sense.

    Alex,

I know its not a priority but it would represent the pair better if you replace the “_” with “:” etc BTC:DOGE instead of BTC_DOGE.

    Cheers
